WHAT IS THE CORRECT DIRECTION FOR MY AIR COMPRESSOR TO ROTATE?
For the Reciprocating compressor whether the ML-Series (Master-Line) or the CA-Series (Challenge-Air) the correct rotation is counter-clockwise facing the flywheel.  The Large Industrial models with an oil pump are bi-directional.  The oil pump will produce oil pressure in either direction. For the Rotary Screw compressors there are arrow decals on the belt guard and also directional arrows cast in the air housings by the male rotor shaft.

HOW DO I REVERSE ROTATION ON A THREE-PHASE MOTOR?
Normally two of the incoming power lines are switched between Line 1 and Line 3.
 
I AM HAVING TROUBLES WITH MY RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR AND NEED SOME TROUBLESHOOTING ASSISTANCE.
WHAT IS A NORMAL OIL CHANGE INTERVAL?
A. For the Reciprocating Compressor, normal oil changes should be done every 3 months.  Oil change frequency also depends on the operating schedule of the compressor.  3 month time frame is base on a 8 hour, 5 day work week.  For Rotary Screw Compressors using the RS8000 oil, the change interval is every 8000 hours provided the air/oil discharge temperature does not exceed 190°F.   For every 10° rise over 190°F the oil loses 2000 hours of life.  Rotary Screw Compressors using the RS2000 oil, change interval is 2000 hours.
